Alan worked for Eriks in Bath for over 35 years, he started his career as an Apprentice Armature Winder in the 80’s, completing. After a four year apprenticeship covering various rewinds of AC Low Voltage stators and rotors. AC High Voltage rewinds up to and including 11kv. Manufacture of high and low voltage coils. Rewind of Alternator Stators and Rotors. Rewind DC Armatures and Field Frames, Traction Armatures and Field Frames.
His career progressed and he soon became a value member of the Eriks Engineering Team in Bath. He was first appointed the Winding Shop Foreman, he was then promoted to Works Supervisor and further promoted to the Works Manager responsible for the day to day running of the Eriks Bath Workshop.
Alan brings to Mawdsleys a wealth of experience and knowledge that is invaluable in our in house Winding Department and our motor repair and overhaul workshop.
